Ariel used to be softball athlete. His position was as a catcher in a team called Rusa Hitam Bandung (Bandung Black Deer).
Lukman used to be a talented soccer player. If he’s not famous for being the lead guitarist of Peterpan, he might have been a professional soccer player by now.
Uki once won third place in English Debate Championship.
Reza used to be lead vocal in his previous band (before joining Peterpan). But since the drummer often skipped from their routine, Reza had to replace him as the drummer. Since then Reza started to love his new role as drummer for the band.
Uki and Ariel went to the same junior high school and at first Uki hated that Ariel always bring his guitar to the school.
During his childhood Uki dreamt to be a superstar (I guess his dream comes true).
Both Ariel and Uki are talented in drawing and won several competitions.
This is the video of interview with Peterpan about the preparation for their latest album “Sebuah Nama Sebuah Cerita” (One Name One Story). For those of you who do not understand Bahasa Indonesia, here is the excerpt of the interview :
1. Their new album would be the compilation of their best songs. In total there would be 22 songs, consists of 18 old songs and 3 new songs (damn, only 3??? come on guys, you can do better than that), plus one cover version of Chrisye’s song “Kisah Cintaku” (My Love Story). Chrisye was a legendary singer in Indonesia who passed away last year. Peterpan did a duet with Chrisye for the song Menunggumu in 2005.
2. They named the album Sebuah Nama Sebuah Cerita (One Name One Story) to symbolise that this is the end of their story using Peterpan as their band name. That is why this is a compilation album. Next, with new name it would be another story.
3. When asked if they have found their new name, Ariel said, they haven’t. Maybe the audience can help them giving some ideas or maybe they should make some kind of ‘competition’ for the people to give them new name.

This song was composed by Anton, a professional jingle song composer at the request of a certain company in Malaysia for their ad on TV. The song was originally sung by Pop-Shuvit and Disagree, two Malaysian popular groups.
Now as Peterpan has been chosen as the icon of that particular company, Peterpan sings this song.
This song will be released as one of the tracks in their next album Sebuah Nama Sebuah Cerita (One name, One Story). The title of the song “Walau Habis Terang” reminds me to a book based on R.A. Kartini’s letters, “Habis Gelap Terbitlah Terang” (Out of Dark Comes Light). For non-Indonesians who don’t know who Kartini was, she was Indonesian leading feminist who died in 1904.

I super looooove this performance by Ray Mak. He’s really amazing with the Piano, and his interpretations of two Peterpan hit songs are just superb. I hope you guys enjoy it the way I always do.
